Default Stolen Wing Mirror Surround - Advice Needed!

Parked the car up for an hour at Sainsbury's in Chiswick today and came back to find the colour coded surround for the passenger wing mirror had been swipped. I can see where the guy ried to prize it out with a screwdriver, but when that hadn't worked he pulled the glass out and just rammed the screwdriver in to pop out the metallic silver surround. Pikey b*****d!

The good news is that the motor seems to be working fine on the electric adjustment (it's not electric folding by the way and as it's an 05 plate it also doesn't have the indicator in it) but the glass is half popped out. I've had a good look behind it and was hopping with some pressure that it might just clip back in but it's just not happening. On the side that's still connected I can see two sawtooth style clips - one is connected to the wing mirror unit and 1 is loose. The one that's connected seems to be the only thing holding the glass in at present.

I've taken a series of photos (in the rain!!!) with my iPhone which are below and I'm looking for any advice anyone can give me as I'm not sure how to go about this. I could just rock up to Ford but I know they'll fleece me for an hours labour off the bat! I also need to get a new surround. I can see they go for as little as £15 on eBay but I'll then need to get it sprayed. Was actually thinking of calling round a few breakers yards and seeing if I can get one in silver already. Does anyone think it might just be easier to try and get a whole new electric wing mirror in silver from a breaker and just get that fitted somewhere?? If I can I'd just like to get the glass back in properly as I'm convinced the motor is fine, but I just can't seem to figure it out. I'm sure if I took the whole glass piece out I could see what I need to do, but that's a point of no return so I'd like at least some idea of what I'm up against!!!
