hi, guys, need a bit of help with a 53 plate tdci focus i replaced the fuel filter & took the car for a run .shortly after joining the motorway, as i went from 4th to 5th gear there was a slight bang, the car lost power. it would not go over 2000 rpm,even if i floor the pedal. i struggled to the next exit at about 45mph . there are no fuel leaks & the pipes connections on the filter are ok . ( i was thinking it may be a air leak ?) the throttle pedal feels " soft " any ideas ? cheers, steve.

 

hi, tried a ms300 obd2 code reader ,im not getting any codes. just "link error" .my friends are saying , its in limp home mode & nothing to do with fuel filter !
looks like a trip to the local garage . steve.

 

hi, car sorted turbo seals had gone. had it changed for a recon one. thanks anyway steve.

hi, axelrodi. bought a turbo from a breaker on ebay, @ Ł50. but was damaged with parts missing money refunded had to pay Ł100 for a recon off the shelf as my car was in the garage, stripped. cost Ł70 to replace it any one up here ( gateshead,hebburn,jarrow, south shields ) want the garage address / details etc send me a pm.or email. you wont find anyone cheaper than this garage at pelaw. best wishes, steve.
