Default Fault Code Help Required. Glow Plugs Flashed And Engine Cut Out

Hi all,

I was driving this morning and my car glow plug lights started flashing when I was coming up to some lights. I pulled away from the lights and my car cut off forcing me to pull over. I started the car up again and it started fine. I drove straight to my friends dad's garage and he run fault diagnostics on my car.

Ford focus 1.8 tdci ghia X

X431 DIAG report
SMARTBOX: 980247610600
DATE: 11/16/2012 12:35:20 PM

Total codes: 003

CODE001:
P0110 IAT sensor circuit (Continuous Memory Dtc)

CODE002
P1211 Injector Control Pressure Higher Lower Than Desired engine running (Continuous Memory Dtc)

CODE003
P0251 Injector pump fuel metering control malfunction (Continuous Memory Dtc)

Also there is another fault code on the heating side which I could do with help on:
CODE001
B2266 [ 0, 0,a2,66] Please refer to relevant technical manual (Continuous Memory Dtc)

I naturally assumed before i got the fault codes it was to do with my alternator as I sent it to a garage yesterday to have the alternator uprated to a 140amp model. Could this have anything to do with the faults?

Does anyone have any advice on what has gone wrong? I have cleared all the faults and haven't had any issues on the drive home through varied rpm ranges. My friend reckons that the injector pump is going and starting to wear but that is £650+ and £250 for labour.

Thanks in advance.

James

Sounds like camshaft sensor starting to play up mate. Usually a non starting fault.

I agree with the above but it may also be the fuel metering valve, this in itself will not always cause a fault code to be logged but it can cause other knock on problems.
