Handbrake on put in 1st. Loosen your drive-shaft bolt. Loosen your upper strut mounting bolt 5 turns, loosen wheel nuts. Jack and support on axle stands , I would then drain the gearbox oil. Remove lower arm ball-joint clamp bolt and prise lower arm from hub (use a long bar levered against the underside of the car, do not use a ball-joint separator, as it tends to feck the dust cover. Completely unscrew the drive-shaft nut, then pull the hub outwards to remove the drive-shaft from hub (may need persuading with rubber mallet). Once out tie the end of the shaft in place or support on an axle stand. Undo the support bearing retaining bolts. Pop the drive-shaft out of the gearbox and withdraw from under the vehicle. Remove bearing using a puller.
Reassemble in reverse order and I encourage nice fresh gearbox oil (SAE 75W/90).

Is it hard to swap complete drive shafts as I think it is the problem with my car. I've had the front bearings replaced so it rules them out now. Yet I still have a very metallic grinding and vibrating and its worse accelerating or braking but constant at a steady speed.
