Default MK2 Focus bumper for a MK1?

Hello all,

New to FORD!

Looking to purchase my first Focus today a MK1.

Cheap and cheerful untill I find a decent MP3.

Anything I should be looking out for on the MK1 and curious if the MK2 bumper would fit a MK1?

Many Thanks

Service history , rust , common spot for rot on the mk 1 is inside the rear arch linings , seen a few rot right through rear suspension turrets and the rear seat pans . Don't think the mk2 bumpers will fit , totally different car.

Go have a good look around and under it

Incase you don't know , the mk1.5 ( eg mine is the " face lift " model , different grills in the front bumper , indicators were moved from the bumper (mk1) to the headlights (mk1.5 ) as mentioned already the mk1.5 bumper will fit .

Hello,

So yesterday I bought a Ford Focus MP3 in grey/silver.
96,000 on the clock
FSH
1 Previous owner
Cambelt and major service done 12k ago so due a oil change
Lowered 40mm
Gun metal grey alloys & sideskirts.

I'm really pleased. The seat doesn't go low enough which is it's only down point but apart from that 90 miles trip home in my first Ford Focus I'm happy!

Hello, new here also. I have started a thread similar to this.

I think the mk2 (UK) front end will fit the mk1 (uk) front end if you replace the wings to the bolt-straight-on (USA) mk2 2005-2007 along with the hood (bonnet) and headlights.

I am about to do this myself with a mk2 (uk) ST front end.

The 2005-2007 (USA) model is a mk1 (UK) back end with mk2 (UK) headlights.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Alan
