Check all N/S suspension omponents as he could have bent or broken something from the spring or strut to the hub and knuckle etc. Min you if the engine is moving then meybe its the lower torque mount or even broken subframe.
Needs a thorough inspection.

thanks for the reply i will be going through it tomz i havent checked sub frame yet i will keep updated but any other suggestions on what to check would be great im going to check drive shaft aswell thanks simon
subframe is all ok have took driveshaft out and the inner cv joint is stuck in the drive shaft i cant see a circlip in there i have tryed levering but cant get it then to give it a tap any one got any ideas on how to get it out
thanks simon
thanks simon
also the inner cv casing is stuck in there and as you turn it there is a clicking noise and it locks up even though its in neutral there is no bearings in the inner cv its just the metal casing in which ball bearings would be seated
how many of you think gear boxs is nackered

get the front end up on axle stands both sides. start the car up and get him to go up threw the gears, at the same time you get as close as you feel safe and check for the knocks bangs and clicking etc, look for any dodgy movement, if its the driveshaft/cv joint it wont stay in a solid position it will move in a circular motion whilst its spinning, cv joint may also click.
i would say also check the top of the n/s (passenger side) front strut, see if its been knocked loose from hitting the curb.
