Default Focus 2003 Front Speaker Template

Hi,

First post here, but I'm really hoping someone can help me out if they happen to have already removed their front speakers from a mk1.5 Focus.

I'm replacing the standard speakers with some 6.5" Kappas and have been searching around for a template online that I could print off for mounting / shape of the original speakers so I can make a spacer / adaptor from some 3/4" MDF.

All I'm after really is a doc or PDF to doanload and print out if possible?

If I really can't get hold of one, I'll have to remove my speaker, do the template and put it back in as I've got a few things to cut and mould and make before I do the actual install.

Cheers,

Marc

If it doesnt necessarily have to be made out of MDF, then you should be able 2 get a adaptor to convert it from a decent audio shop I would have thought

I was going to buy one of them but then realised they aren't really thick enough to act as spacers.

I think I'll just whip the door card off and remove the speaker to make the template.

Cheers for that picture.

Did you leave the stock polystyrene stuff on the door and did it provide enough deadening / damping for the door not rattle too much?

Just curious really as I'm hoping I can get away with minimal deadening.
