Default Fitting LED indicators, left side not working

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fdRlS0WyD8

I have temporarily wired up an incandescent in place of a resistor, so you can see the LED bulb on the right is coming on, but the left is not. I have tried changing the polarity and I have also tested the bulb so I know it works.

So does anybody know how I can resolve this issue?

Very strange. Did you also changed the led bulb over from the left to the right side and vice versa to see what that brings?

Hi there Wim,
Thanks for your contribution.
Yes I did try both bulbs on both sides and they both come on, on the right hand side. I think my car doesn't like LED bulbs because I had a problem with fitting LED tail light bulbs in the past, so I changed them for a different type then they were fine. So I am now thinking this may be the case.

Hi,
I managed to sort out the problem yesterday. I had to swap the wires over in the bulb holder. I didn't do this exactly because I would have had to disassemble the headlight assembly. I actually took out the other part of the bulb holder (where the bulb sits) and I put wires on the metal contact points, put tape over them, then wrap the wire around so the end of it is on top the contact point on the other side.

Just seen this post. When I did this a few years ago I had to swap over the wires to change the polarity to make the bulbs work properly.
