Engine conversion help???

Default Engine conversion help???

Just wondering if anyone can help me i have a 1.8 focus but have a 2.0 engine sat in the garage would it go straight in or would anything need changing, iv heard a few different opinion on the subject just wondering if anyone done it know? Thanks

Engine is a straight swap, you need a 2.0 ECU or get your current ECU remapped.
Not sure if you could get a bluefin for a 2.0 model and upload it to your 1.8 ECU?

You don't need the 2.0 ECU, you just need to use the 1.8's injectors. The MAF sensor will detect the increased air flow and increase the fuelling to suit.

You'll also need the 1.8's flywheel and clutch so you can mate it to your gearbox.

I have the box for the 2.0 so that shouldnt be a prob, so all i need is 1.8 injectors in then itl run sweet? Have you done this before ?
