Mk5 zetec s introduction
Evening all, I’ve just bought a zetec s mk5 phase 1 on w plate. Nice little car that needs some tlc so will be looking around for advice. Thought I’d say hello and see how many others are around.

Hi, nice zetec-s you have there, what are your plans for it?
Ive had a zetec s for about a year now but it rarely gets used.
sadly,to my knowledge there aren't many mk5 owners on this forum.

Cheers I couldn’t resist it when I saw her. I tried to sign upto a zetec owners club but it kept failing, was hoping there would be a few here to give some tips and pick up a few parts second hand.
Im unsure of plans so far, just did some basic work to get the heaters working (or more like to stop them working!) but it needs the rust sorting and some new bushes as the suspension moves all over the place on bumps. I’ve picked up a 4-2-1 manifold and cat from milltek (second hand) so that will go on them maybe some spax suspension all around but that’s it so far. I may do a puma engine swap at some point but currently the idea is to keep it clean (ish) and use it to commute to work.

I'm on ZSOC too, its a very knowledgeable place but its very very quiet. yeah the rust is what let's these down, mine has some surface rust on the rear arch that needs sorting.
mine is standard apart from the fiesta ST brake conversion on the front. That's worth doing for what it costs and how easy it is to do. there's other things i want to do to it but it's getting round to it, I'm hoping to do the puma conversion eventually,

I’ve been trying to sign up but I can’t get passed the anti robot code word as it’s not working and there’s no admin contact to find out what’s going on.
is there anywhere that has loads of guides as I’ve heard about rear disc conversions as well but no how to’s etc?

Hmmm, not sure what that's about. I'll see if i can send you a moderators contact details.
zsoc.com will be the best place for info on things like that.
Not done the rear disc conversion myself but been told its alot of work and money for not alot of improvement.
