Question Help with replacing original mk2 stereo

Hi guys,

Can someone please explains me how to remove the original stereo from the dash on my 1985 mk2 fiesta?

I can't see any pins on the stereo where you would normally insert the removal keys - the guy at halfords said it would be a case of removing some of the screws in the dash to get it out. Any tips/pictures would be much appreciated!

If it helps the stereo is on the bottom part of the dash - ie. Just in front of the base of the gear knob. It is the factory fitted radio only stereo.

Finally, I am also looking to locate a stealth shelf for my new speakers as I don't want to bugger the original parcel shelf if possible.

Many thanks,

Dan

all you need to do mate is use a flat blade screw driver
and gently prize it out as for the shelf just replace it
with your new one

Sounds similar to my one.

If you remove the volume/tuner dials there are some bolts you need to undo.
