Default SERIES 1 STARTING FAULT

I BOUGHT A SERIES ONE LASTR WEEK AFTER YEARS OF WANTING!!! BUT I HAVE A ANOYING PROBLEM. WHEN I SWITCH THE IGNITION MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THE THING WONT START! I FIND IF I ROCK THE CAR IT SOMETIMES STARTS! IVE CHECKED THE BASICS I.E

BATTERY POWER IS A1
FUEL PUMP CAN BE HEARD PRIMEING ITSELF
CHECKED THE ALARM SYSTEM WHICH IS FINE

ALL I CAN THINK IS THAT SOME WIREING IS LOOSE SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE BUT OTHER THAN CHECKING THE IGNITION BARREL FOR LOOSE WIRES I WOULD NOT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO LOOK ANY IDEAS LADS?

Sounds like a sticky starter motor/flywheel engaging prob?

give the starter a few chaps with a hammer then give it a try!

Then get to Ford and see if they have any heat shields left to protect it from the turbo heat.
