Default electronic boost controllers

hiya guys
Who runs these on there rst,s basicly my car spikes to 14psi and holds 12 but if i put boot down on motorway in 5th it hold 14-15.

Idealy id like to be able to turn my boost up so i run 14psi in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th.

but if i turn up any more i would be running 14 in lower gears and 18 in 5th which i dont want to do.

i think i already have a -31 actuator, do these ebc actualy work ie if i tap in 14psi or set it to that it wont go running 18 in 5th?

if so can anyone recoemnd one have spotted these ranging from £50-500 on ebay obviously i want one that works but dont fancy forking out £500 for one.

Thanks Paul.

thanks Paul.

the e01 is a lot of money cos it can do the engine man as well but this will do the same for the boost http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Greddy-profec-...QQcmdZViewItem

The Profec B has a gain adjustment.

However, don't expect miracles from it! It won't make a laggy turbo any better.

If I were you, I would go that little bit extra to an Apexi AVC-R. I still don't think its the best controller on the market, but it has alot of functionality and it has a very important feature. It has the ability to adjust duty throughout the rev range. It also has a digital Rev counter, which is very useful!

Alternatively, get one of these!! Will set you back around £500 though.

that guage looks sweet, changing duty during revs does that mean you can tap in what boost you wont at what revs in say 500rev increments.

It means that if the car drops boost at a certain rev point, you can increase the duty at that point.

When mine is set up properly, it has a flat boost curve. Although I am still waiting for UK instructions for my latest controller!!
