Default exhaust rubber - what one?

bit of a random question....

i have a magnex exhaust and it sits really low down off the back bumper, was just wondering what exhaust rubbers people use as everyone elses seem to sit nicely under the bumper.

at the moment i got a £1.00 jobbie from Halfords.

heres a picture, apolgies for the size...

also are there any tips for removing oversprspray from the backbox?

Thats not the rubbers fault, the system is in sections and need to be loosened and re-aligned.The backbox for example can easliy be seen as crooked as f*ck.Regards Micky

As above, but you could get a poly one, but these are a c*nt to fit! Although getting one from Ford will be the best bet too

i used a deflex one, bent the "hook-end" on the end can hanger, greased it up nice and slid on nae-bad,when it was on in place, put a drift of some kind behind the hanger and re-bent the "hook-end" to its normal possition.

by the way,my magnex back box is on an angle too, juss a little closer and neater to the bumper.it wont sit level period.

to be honest that photo makes the back box look a lot more wonky than it really is.

may put some new clamps on it anyway as it was fitted a good few years ago.

yeah the 'hook' on the magnex hanger is really big i didn't think about bending it incase it snapped off.

if it snapped off,you could always drill and retainer clip and washer it,or weld on another lip.

i thought the same ,but trying to get the thing through a polybush rubber is a nightmare,so i bent it with pliers, and its quite soft.
