aparently ford charge £40 for the hose which is a scrawny item.

ring roose motorsport and they will put one in the post to you for £23.50

its a lot thicker hose and looks stronger (and you can choose the colour)

i just put one on mine over the weekend, fiddly job especially putting the new hose onto the tubes.

you will need bigger jubilee clips as the hose is 32mm compared to Ford's 22mm effort.

I used a bit of radiator hose on mine and made up a heat shield to protect the hose.

Done the job for a few month now without any problems.

Cheers

But you cant protect the hos from the hot oil inside. Radiator hoses are not made to carry hot oil.

I'll see how it goes. Looking at the original hose I can't see any difference to be honest. Seems to be doing the job though.

Cheers

Ford sting you for £32 for the pipe. I had one when I did the T3 on my FRST. Bugger split 40 mins after getting it all back together. It's a bugger to get at as well

Don't do the jubilee clips up too tight, they don't need swinging on

Rad hoses aren't protected to carry hot oil. It's not a case of if it fails but when. Sort it before you need to make an embarrasing call to the AA mate

Correction, Roose motorsport's oil hose is treated to do such a thing, not ALL silicone
