oil coming OUT of oil filler cap...
i have an oil leak where the oil is coming out of the oil filler cap.
i have an auto specialists locking filler cap yet oil is still managing to make its way out and then dribble down the block onto the exhaust system.
what could be the cause of this? too much oil pressure?
am due to be fitting an oil temp+pressure gauges soon so would be able to answer my own question but i don't at the moment.
there isn't too much oil in it its just about perfect level between min+max.
im confused

i think i may have an injured breather pipe somewhere as the car does idle a bit funnily at times particularly when warm.
am gonna put a new idle control valve (auxillary air device....) on and see if that has any effect on the idling after that i think im gonna invest in some roose hoses...
oh and the car doesn't smoke at all which is always a plus in my book.
hopefully the engine is still in quite a healthy condition as it was only rebuilt about this time last year ~6k ago.
