Agree tho, the car looks very average and nothing special at all. Not exactly low milage in my books either

I would have to agree with RS Monkey for a early d plate it looks very tidy and some early mk4 rs turbos came without recaros as they were an option in that year. Also that black piping was also on the early rs turbos. Looks original to me only needs the standard wheels put back on.

just needs 88 spec interior in there and the black piping taken off
I just noticed this white early d plate one in the autotrader

I love the shape of my recaro's agree with whoever said there not ideal for bigger people though, had to give a few unimpressed sales reps from my work lifts and they were like "jesus we cant move"
The miles, yeah only used to and from shows? where were they new zeland? See what I mean that miles are low but why say something like that?? Why not say low miles? Show and back miles are 50 and less id say.
Anyway ive said enough had my first hitch with my one yesterday (and today) however it was completely self inflicted and not in any way the cars fault

see what you mean about the seats and the doorstrips making it look like a 3i but 3is where black round the side windows. But i would be suspicious about buying something like this. Its people on here like julia that stop people buying dodgy cars off ebay (not that this one is ) but i remember there being a so called series 1 on ebay with the wrong suspension tops and all series 2 running gear and someone pointed it out saved someone buying something dodgy

first off how can you say its not low milage the car is 20 years i'd say 92k is pretty good going.
and turbo.jon's rs turbo of here had 3i seats in it when the bloke he bought it off got it. (maybe they were meant to be in there jon weird huh)
there was a grey F plate turbo going round this way a few years ago with the side mouldings on.
and it does look very clean for a D plate

If u read my post you'd have seen that I said it IS low miles but not to extent where it had "only been used to and from shows" as the seller stated. My dad knew of a series 1 out the road a bit with 9000 miles and he used to put cling film all over it before he drove it. Think it made about Ł11,000 in the end.
It does look clean bodywork wise but look at the interior its not original, what it needs is a radio casette like me! Not thats its actually in at the moment but Its sitting pretty on my bedroom shelf

From: fee, fife, foe, fumb,i smell the blood of an englishman ,in scotland!
tis a clean looking car,for the rite price someone will be glad to buy it,if i spent 11 on a motor, wouldnt be on an s1,maybe a coz,
my s2 undergoing surgery, where needed,is nearly done, and still isnt as clean/original under the car, fuel line clips perish and break, the seat support welds rust,so if its all standard, its quite good.mine was 1mile away from the scrappy, but i decided to save it,still bits to do,and its been months, but thats what we do,not everyone gets the chance of a fine motor to brag about, but when ours are done, weve achived something worthwhile.
