HELP Running on 3 holding back!!!!!!
Yes had car on road again for 2 days and yes its fcuking broke again glad i didnt take it to pod at weekend left it behind as didnt think it would make it...come back yesterday started it and it was running on 3 i left it to run for about 5 mins and it was fine then later on when i put me foot down a bit it started to hold back and run on 3 again only for few seconds this time.started it up this morning and ran on 3 again but was holding back all way home so sounds like it was on 3 again ive checked and there is a spark on all 4 so might be fueling???? if not would a worn cam do this as mine is getting pretty old now???

it it was a dog you'd put it down jon
neways, did u check for a spark with the same plug or each 1??, if it were teh same 1 then its worth gettin a new set, make sure they give ur rst 's tho, dont get stitched with 3i 's
when its cold start it and feel the manifold to see if 1 port stays cold for longer, least u will know which cyl ur down on, or pop the leads off, but u'd prob get a nice jolt for you trubble, give all the leads a jiggle to see if that cures it. could be the lead ends are loose from bein pulled by the lead and not the rubber boot
if you need any bits to try gis a shout

Good call not to take it jon to the pod!,
Only time mine has ran on 3, was the one of the leads had broken down or
I smashed a tappet in slightly causing it to sound like it was running a 3

only thing i can think it is is the cams worn or as you say a tappet is fcuked there is a tapping noise from the same cyl thats running on 3.but its not very loud and goes after a while i did think it was the head gasket last night as i were losing water but turned out to be a split pipe so got some thing else to fix
