poor starting,any ideas?...
when i start up my car it really shit at firing up
The cold start valve is disconnected because i had trouble before
and someone said to disconnect it,and it did improve matters,
but since ive put the engine back it doesnt like to start.
It turns over for sometime then eventually fires and runs rough for a while.
Does anyone have any ideas i could try to sort it out?
Cheers

Does it fire up ok if it has run recently..like in the last hour or so? If it does, it could well be the fuel accumulator up the duff.
My 3i used to take 2 or 3 seconds cranking from cold to fire. Changed the accumulator and it sorted it.
cheers

No dead easy
Mine was under the rear end near the fuel tank, I think s2s have them in the engine bay so are even easier... just don't do it with a hot engine and probably best to disconnect the fuel pump and run the car a while (won't run long) to drain the system pressure first.
It's worth a go as they are not that expensive and very rarely get changed unless they fail.
It is about the size of a coke can with two threaded unions on the "top".
Did mine and it starts first touch now, hot or cold.
Hope that helps
