Best tyre size for 7Jx16s?

Id go for 215/40-16 
Not many companys make that size though.I used Yokohama A502's(I think)When i ran 16"
That way they are really low profile and stick out a wee bit further than the rim

195/45/16 every time or a 205/45/16 if you want to go that little bit wider. Wider than these and the whole balance seems to get upset. As I'm sure you know grip and handling are not the same thing

215/40/15 on the from in Goodyear Eagle F1's and 205/40/16 in Yoko A520's on the back. The Goodyears far out perform the Yoko's in the wet!! Yes I have been sideways since fitting them on the back!! Used to run Eagle F1's all the way round but they don't do a 205/40/16.

In all fairness though A520 aren't Yokohama's finest tyres and are pretty dated now. I've managed to get my S2 sideways with matched 205/40/17 AVS Sports all round, it's just a matter of trying hard enough

195/4516's are spot on and are perfect for that set up,also be very wise on choice of tyre too as the design of the tyre can affect scrubbing some times,i have uniroyal rainsports and thee just right as i have a 40mm drop,although ive have also found that a slimmer tyre like.........continentals are very good too and give great handling too!
