Setting the Actuator ???? advice

after building it back up ive come to set the turbo boost, its on the amal valve and no bleed valve. I have put the Actuator on and set it to 6psi peak and hold 5/6 for safety..As we know the ford fair is close and i havnt the time to get it set up on a tuners rollers...
So the question is who has turned the pre-load up on the actuator without turning the fueling up and whats the most i can get away with ??
its a heart triangle hash chipped ECU...please help

Most people tend to run 15psi boost with a chip (depends on what kind thou) as standard fueling only fuel to this, Most people also turn up the pre load as I used to do this, it makes the boost a bit snappier, I got a bajoo chip and ran half a hole pre load, then put a jet at the amal valve to control the flow therefore my boost is smoother. Probally best to set yours to peak 14 and hold about 12 that should be safe enough to get you to ford fair

When setting your boost, to check its accurate reading, run your motor along the road in 4th gear on boost with your foot on tha brake as this puts load it a gives you your peak boost, does yous a bit fuel till you get it to what you want
