What parts are the same for both s1 and s2?

Default What parts are the same for both s1 and s2?

just interested to know what parts are exactly the same including engine and exterior parts. sorry if this has been asked before but ive owned a s1 for 3 years now and i have never really thought about it.

there isnt a lot i dont think thats the same off the top of my head . basic shells the same apart from the obvious rear panel , wings , front panel , bonnet , door internal panel etc
you could make a S2 into a S1 or the other way round fairly easy

engine parts different, inlet manifold different, i think metering heads are different
the turbo is water cooled on s2 where as s1 is oil cooled

Also flywheel/clutch is different, S1 uses 200mm clutch, S2 uses 220mm.
Iam running S1 engine in a S2 shell, no problems

nice motor mate but lose the spoiler for somthing more subtle ,p.s series1ant
the water pumps are different too

STandard repeaters are the same. (where fitted)

the gearbox is different due to the mount bracket, modified engine management, slighly bigger water pump, different drive shafts, bigger front brake and as ajc and tombra said

plus some other thing

thing can be inter changed (there is always a way )

my car has an s2 flywheel for alcon paddle clutch

It's surprising, but perhaps 5% of parts are identical between S1 and S2, but 95% of parts can be exchanged if really needed.
