Out of fuel past 1/4 Tank
When my rs gets lower than a Quarter of a tank its runs out of fuel, and doesent let me start again till 20 mins later. Why is This?? Cheers ..Matt..

I know the fuel gauges on RSTs are notorious for reading too high. I've run out loadsa times - thinking that there 1/4 tank left! Eventually I adjusted the gauge so I don't run out! Not sure why yours starts again after 20mins though?

Yea, probs wot I need to do TBH. And a fuel filter while im there. Lamar, did u buy the pump new from Fords, if so do u have a cost and the finis?

got mine from PJ motorsport, http://www.pjmotorsport.co.uk/ £80 for a cozzy one... gives it a better flow rate... plus its loads quieter!

sometimes the pickup fuel line may not be in the fuel tank far enough so when u get low the pump runs dry!!
it happened on my ol fiesta, i got a new fuel line which stopped it cutting out on 1/4 tank!!
but never trust guages fill up when it hits b4 1/4 mark.

Just keep mine over 1/4 now, I know my fuel pipe is mint, i have had 4 in the space of 3 weeks, pmsl, i dont want more petrol problems, that was a bad experience! Still, will get a uprated pump and fuel filter, see what that does.
