Default Difference in deck protrusion

Hi guys, I’ve taken my head off due to stripping the rocker arm threads. I was looking at the deck protrusion across all cylinders and noticed they aren’t equal. Should they be? There’s quite a noticeable difference ie cyl 1 sits just below the deck where as 4 protrudes it’s different again with cyl 2 & 3. I haven’t dropped the sump off as yet. Just wanted some opinion’s / advice before I do.
