Hi all getting a rs turbo off one of my mates tomoro and it's a real nice one completely standard even down to the exhaust and the air box. I'm after a bit of burble from the exhaust just wondered what people are using is mongoose best. Also what's best to get it a bit quicker still running mfi but wanna keep it like that's thanks in advance

i have the 3" system with the rolled in tail pipe it still has a nice sound, i had Magnex and Scorpion systems in the past and the Mongoose is best by a mile for sound and flow.

It's not magnex mate I've checked ..it's hand made ..nice exhaust ..maybe I should have a play and see if I can get it to sort better and change the tail pipe...but just be easier to buy a mongoose

urs 3'' bore ?

Looks like the mongoose inward rolled 3'' system from that angle ?

Any of the rear box and how the seams are done ?

Need to pull my finger out and sort mine out ive got the 3'' goose with outward rolled pipe. Took me years to find a good un damaged one too. This is my 4th one. Most I purchased didn't even know it was a mongoose system. One chap told me he was taking off his magnex to buy his dream 3'' bore mongoose. I didn't have the nerve to tell him he'd just took a mongoose off his car

Swear that's a mongoose 3'' bore system.

I'm confused though the last pic shows outward rolled tip ?

I can tell by the back box its a Mongoose though, slightly oval with the banding for the hanger all rolled edge seems. Deffo 3'' pipework too it looks huge

That last pic is the camera angle making the tip look like outward rolled mate ..if it's a mongoose I might have it all altered to sit better and fit a outward roller tip ..it's sounds lovely tho I must admit.

looks the same as mine but as i said sure it sits closer to the bumper has it got the bracket right where the bend is at the rear as this holds it up the band on the rear box can be twisted to adjust it im sire i ended up welding one of the joins because it wes turning once it had been hot and cooled down.

It might be 3" not 4 ..yea I think I'll have a play and get it to fit better and change the tip to a outward rolled one.

As for more power a MSD chip, -31 actuator and then a tune up at a suitable tuner will see a few more BHP assuming everything is in good working order, your standard turbo and clutch will be your limiting factors.
