Default Help identify my shocks

Hey guys,

Started working on the front suspension and the current front shocks are yellow with red springs. They have bf21101 stamped on them. Are these just ford units painted yellow?

Cheers
Simon

Took the unit out.

There are some markings on the springs but also what looks like corrosion? Will it be ok to refit?

Not much help to you in identifying them mate sorry, but from what i can see in pics bar a bit of overspray of waxoil and dirt they look pretty mint!

Its not a big job to pull them apart and rub down and repaint them if you're that keen

cheers

Cheers Scott. They are on the shell that's back from the paint shop. It was them who put the wax oil on them! Yea I'm gonna split them. I don't have a spring compressor so given to a buddy of my to do it. The springs look like they are orginally that colour.

99% sure these are spax now. Tackled the rear today and I think whoever replaced the springs got them mixed around as the rear ones clearly say "front" on them!

Not sure if the rear shocks are for the bin. Off the car, when I press the shock in it does not come back up itself? I thought it should return itself up? Cheers!
