I recently decided to buy another RS turbo after 5 years of not having 1. So my mate brought this one of ebay then I brought it of him, after seeing everyone's restoration projects I decided to strip mine out to see what the damage was. It needs quite a bit of welding and panels replacing but I'm more worried about the floor as it looks like on the passengers side footwell is has been hit from the bottom and is all bent up, it's had a roll cage fitted at some point as there are holes on the inside rear arches and all the rear seats were just rested in (not even bolted down) be looking forward to hearing from you if you have any info. CheeRS g311 ybw is the reg would help if I put the full reg lol.

Hi there mate. Bit of history for you........ I purchased this in around june 13. When I laid my hands on it it had a 1.8 zetec on bike carbs in it. As it is a genuine rs I put back to rs. I had planned to restore it bit the issue I had was overheating. Was a very fast though it looked to me like it had been abused when i got it. I done my best in the little time I had it to put back to standard. I might have a lot of pics for you. Good to see shes not in the scrappy

Hi, thanks for the info my email is michaelfriend09@yahoo.co.uk I'm from thetford, Norfolk not far from bury st edmunds or Norwich. It still has the overheating problem but hopefully once I've put a new rad on it and all new thermostat that might help! Was you the one that sold it on ebay?

Its the head mate its cracked or warped. I changed every thing trying to sort it even replace bottom end as thought a bore was cracked. But literally the head is only thing that wasnt replaced mate. Done rad thermostat ect. I done the head gasket first the changed bottom end. Just needed a reliable car so she had to go will send you pics mate

No worries iv sent pics. Im not the chap that sold it on ebay no. Thats the chap I sold it to. He got it and literally put it straight on ebay.

I will stay in touch mate, some nice pictures there I thought the engine bay looked clean, at some point the battery tray must have been done because that's all been freshly painted.

Batter tray was replaced before I got it. I painted and cleaned the bay up. Was a bit tatty to be fair. Miss the sprool of that turbo. Boosted awsome
