Default No fuel to injectors

Tried starting the series 2 after 2 and half years, got fuel going to filter, metering unit, and cold start valve, but nothing to the injectors.

I only put 6 litres of fuel in it, and the tank was empty, been told that maybe not enough fuel in the tank?

Help would be great

Hi mate I've just done the exact same thing but mines not run for 3 years. I put 2 gallon of fuel in took the plugs out and held the metering flap down slightly while I got someone to spin it over this opens the valve in the metering head to allow fuel to flow to the injectors. Be patiant though mate as it can take a while and don't forget the system will be completly empty so they'll not be a lot of fuel in the take. Put another gallon in and try it like I said and let me no how you get on. Nick

i had the same problem after sitting for a couple of years. the pin in the metering head wad stuck so unscrewed the top off and sprayed it with wd40 and worked the pin up and down for a short while. fitted back together and hey presto.

Put extra 2 gallons in, and it fired up but cut out. Now it won't fire up, any ideas?

As stated before its the metering head. Pull the air filter off and depress the round plate to open the fuel way then it will run and need a good set up.

Get her nice and warm slowly after an oil and filter change and reset the emission to a co of about 2.5
