Will using a xr2i loom work for a straight swap for efi conversion?

I'm fairly certain that the changes are with the map sensor wiring. RS bible has/had some good info about this. If you have a multimeter it wouldn't be hard to check your loom and make the changes.

PS, the xr2i loom obviously won't have amal valve wiring either, but that wouldn't be such an issue if you were using an external form of boost control.

2i loom with ofac is pretty much plug and play but the air temp sensor plug will need swapping for a turbo one, for ofab there will be pin changes which can be found on rs bible. do a search on here and im sure ull find something, its een covered plenty of times

What so bad about these other forums then ? Cliquey or just plain rude and unhelpful ?

Tbh I don't really use other forums that much, the bmw ones seem friendly enough just boring. All about cleaning this or paying bmw to change that. About a million posts about turbo conversions but no one doing them. Nothing really technically interesting like you get on here sometimes. I can't comment on the vaux forums tho.
