I was on ebay last night and a rather nice looking black series 2 turbo was about to finish was sitting at £1,120 so i put a cheeky wee bid in and got out bid so was geeting ready to try and snipe it at the las second when something bothered me :-

I Thought all RS turbos had sunroofs in them as i have never seen one without them before this one on ebay didnot have one so i never bothered it finished up going for 1,420

Any one out there no the answer to this one ?

i was thinking that but it seamed to have all the paper work with it to back up it was a rs turbo original sales invoice and service books

i though sun roofs where optional extras if it was a true no sunroof rs turbo it will be a rare car.

There was a mint grey S2 for sale for nearly £8k without a sunroof, from a very reputable dealer, without sunroof. It is possible, but a rare thing. I can't remember for the life of me what they called it, but it's a Motorsport/something like that option. You could for a while spec no sunroof from factory.

BUT, could also be a reshelled RS in a Bonus shell as stated.

That was Series 1's.
A friend, of a friend of mine has a series 2 without a sun roof though. It was originally spec'd for export to South Africa I believe and had air con fitted from the factory.

I wish to god mine had no sunroof. Purely cause i don't want one, not due to rust etc. I just dont like sunroof's.

Would be nice if it was blanked back when it was restored...
