right basically my escort s2 oil light comes on when the car is warm but goes off when u rev the car to around 2k revs. and also there is a rattle from the engine.
engine has done less than 2k miles..
ive checked the big ends and there is no scoring and all seems well.
could this be the oil pump not supplying the top end with oil

engine spec is
+1mm accralite pistons
farndon rods
apparently a high pressure oil pump from burtons
acl bearings
ive also checked the bores and they are perfect

also car does not smoke one bit even first start or over run
any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem and i used a high pressure oil pump like yours, i think a lot of people have had problems with them, something to do with the spring inside the pump? I got so frustrated trying to find the problem with mine i built a zvh instead lol

any cvh oil pump does its oil pressure be careful mine flickered then just come on knocked bottom end out
