Hi guys, bought some front indicators for my s2 and not happy with the way they are fitted .

Anyone else have the same problem ?
Also, Any ideas on how I can pull it in towards the wing to reduce the gap ?

 

dont think you get them any better then this. All of my mk4 escorts had the same problem. Some fit better then others but i never had a " perfect" fit.

 

Bin them and buy genuine ambers, clears look awful on MK4 escorts.

Anyway have you fit the spring clip on the wing that clips into the rear of the indicator?

 

Its probably because there not genuine ford ones

 

Had the same issue, got genuine ones which fit perfect

 

get the clears with the silver border you can see the border in my sig pic below ,the fit is very good ,they were the first ones out years back

 

Thanks guys, id like to use clears for now, just thought they would fit a bit better lol. I have used the metal clip to the wing

@twins I tried to find them but have found they are no longer made

 

Ah took a small round file to mine and just rubbed plastic down a bit...fitted much better


Amber's on white s2s looks rank or apron any car for that matter lol...stay wae the clears mate

 

I have these on my escort mate and thats about as good as they get.

 

same issue on mine, altho seems to fit nicely drivers side and just a pup fit on the passenger side

@boeb I mite give that a try, see if they fit better and the clears are staying for now

 

Are they made by Depo ? If they are they will never fit 100% right as I did have them before on my RST and had to change them for a different make. (I see you went for the ultra clear lenses good choice)

Thanks, I prefer a "cleaner" look if you know what I mean than having the orange inner filter.

What brand did you get and where ?

 

LoL each to their own..... I know for a fact clears look 'rank' on Evos. Ambers all the way.

 

not if its white they dont lol.imp blue maybe scooby blue again maybe but never white ...and whos bothered about evos lol...there computers no cars

 

Evos are great cars loved mine to bits. not exactly computers mine was an old one designed to have ambers, and just like all old cars they look great with ambers. I'm more happy spending £60 on a set of 2 amber than £10 on crappy clears.
