hi what is the limit bhp wise on a standard rst pistons ? cheers

It's the rods more than the pistons but I've heard of cars on standard internals doing 230 bhp maybe more . But then after a continual beating bending rods as a result lol

mine ran at 250 for ages before i changed the rods the pistons did over 300

What was u running on them tim? And how long for?

iirc pistons are good for 280-300bhp... Rods max out around 230-240.

Roger is correct, also rods will take a little more if the RPM is kept sensible.

Karlos - that good to know! Im not mega rev-happy so i could potientially squeeze abit more from my engine without opening it up.

Yeah ARP's of course, personally I wouldnt risk stock rods for proper power, you only have to have one snap and your whole engine is ruined.
But 250bhp being sensible with the RPM shouldt be too bad.
