Depends what power your going for?

I have a cossie 4x4 T3 on mine but with a escort elbow and down pipe so it fits as normal, i think its near the limit though for decent flowing but ive got 240bhp so its enough..

It's one of those things, if you are thinking of going big power or have big power then do it, if not then there's no need, like I say my escort housing/down pipe flows for 240bhp so unless your looking into going over that then I wouldn't bother..

Entirely up to you though?!

How do you get the escort downpipe to fit? as the cossie turbo has a different fitting on the exhaust housing

Put an escort exhaust housing on it..I think the smallest you can have is .48

My brother put a cosworth turbo on his escort and he made an adaptor which bolts onto the turbo and the standard escort exhaust bolted to it.
I think he might sell it as he now runs a complete 3" front pipe he had to make to fit his T38

Just buy my now not needed .48 housing!
£50 delivered.
Probably cheaper than buying a cossie flange and making a downpipe to suit!

Your turbo will have a SAAB 9000 turbine housing on it then. That is the same spec as a Cossie .48 housing but allows the Escort RST wastegate elbow to fit onto it.

Nope I'm sure I just have an escort exhaust housing and elbow, that's what NMS said they were doing when they put the turbo on, it was that or get them to make a custom down pipe which I said no to for now..

As above, direct fitment onto the turbo and to your exhaust!

The Escort housing is only a .36 A/R. The SAAB housing looks identical except for being a .48 A/R and is used when building a hybrid turbo.

Oh fair enough, i knew my old turbo had a .36 housing but since then all my turbo's have had .48 housings so i guessed they were made like it..

Wilky, i keep PMing you about a turbo and i just never get round to actually buying one, its only because im in no rush at the moment as my car wont be on the road for a little while! Dont mean to mess you around though..
