S2 resto questions, ABS related
Hi there, I've got to a point of installing my engine back into my S2 but before I do I want to do away with the ditch finding abs that everyone keeps going on about. Anyway, I have done a bit of searching and cant seem to find a great deal of info on it. My plan was to obviously take all the existing lines off, run one metal line to each front wheel, and then for the rears I was going to run braided hose inside the car with a bias valve to a t-piece in the boot and run metal lines through the floor to join to braided hoses under the car. Has anyone done it this way before? If not how have others done it?

Done it loads of times mate.
Just undo all the lines that go into the block by the gear linkage, remove all the pumps and brackets etc.
You will be left with 2 male, 2 female ends. The two that are close together, just tweak so they line up and connect.
You will need to remove the brown line from the master cylinder so you can change the male m12 end to a male m10 end to join with the other one thats left. ( unless you can do it on the car but as its a steel pipe, my bench mounted flarer will do it, not a hand help type! )
That way you get to keep all the standard looking lines but lose the terrible SCS system.
hope that helps,
Gary
