Door won't go back on properly...

I tried to help a mate hang his doors lastnight but it won't line up properly, this is the gap between the hole and the end of the wing on the driver side

but this is the passenger side we're having the problem with, it looks like the wing hasn't been welded in the right place, does it look like that's the case or is there a knack to getting the doors hung properly? The door sits too far to the rear giving a 2-3mm gap on the b pillar but about 8mm on the a pillar
