Default 285mm discs

Hi
i belive i have 285mm discs and 4pots on my S2 (was on the car when i brought it so not messured them) but they are warped to f**k and i'm also not happy with bite from cold.
just wondering where to buy new discs and pads from and what ones do people recomend?

Burton power, search 283mm cosworth discs and pad, thats my guess whats fitted to your car.

As above, sounds like you have a 2wd cossie set up. 283mm discs. I had drilled discs on my old series 2 with standard pads, they were awesome. I did try ferrado ds2000's but found i couldn't get the heat into them with normal driving and the stopping was shite untill warm, so went back to standard again!

Ok cool thankd.so standard oe saff pads are good then. Any discs to go for or avoid?

Personally I use drilled and grooved discs which dissipate heat alot better, so as long as you go for those and a half decent brand you'll be fine. As above, they're 283mm discs and they fit under standard rims (just !). Shop about for the best price ! I've also got standard Ford pads - do the job for me !

i see burtons sell some a good price called "national sport 8 groove"
anyone used these? i've not heard of them but i'm quite new to owning fords.

turns out they are 324mm rotars with bells and 4 pot brembos from a fait 20v turbo . where is best for the discs/rotars?

I've done some more digging and its brembo 4 pots from a fait 20v turbo and belled rotors. Think I've found some at reyland.

martin has been known to supply brake kits in the past and probably one of the first ports of call for most folk who want fancy stoppers
