Default Pedal box's

Going to be putting a different pedal box into my s2 project, probably floor mounted as I don't like the bulkhead comp brake one. Anyone got any pics of any floor mounted pedal box's in an s2? Or maybe something different like a mk2 escort one modified to fit?

Thanks.

I would avoid obp pedal boxes like the plague, we fitted them to 2 cars and had to remove them, the cylinders they use are inadequate causing the brakes and clutch to hold on wreaking 2 expensive ap clutches & release bearings in our case.

The design of the pedal box itself is also very flimsy, the clutch pedal actually snapped on 1 of ours and they really flex if you have to stamp on them hard, imagine if that was the brake pedal and you were coming into a fast corner!

It looks exactly the same as the ones we had many issues with tbh, not just us have spoken to quite a few poeple who have had problems with them, Luke had 1 in his fiesta and took it out.

Is that a pedal box for a mk1 escort gus? I was planning on using one of these with girling cylinders.

Paul16v can you recommend any other pedal boxes you would go for?

Thanks for the replies!

Alex.

TIlton in mine now ditched the OBP one as the pedal bent and the base where the cylinders are mounted bowed!

Default Brakes

Go to Gartrac, I got them to make me one back about 5 years ago. They pulled out the old drawings they used on the ford works cars and ma it to that spec. Bulkhead mounted, it's still in the box under my desk at work as I haven't got to finishing my car.
