Default weird problem

i have an odd problem with my newly acquired RST

the doors are sticking closed, handles and locks are fine but the door rubber seal is sticking to the paintwork on the inner door and making it difficult to get in.

this is easily resolved by popping over to the passenger side opening that and pushing the door open from the inside, i'm concerned if it happens on both.

the escort door handles aren't the most robust things, ad i'm worried one may break if i force it

would thise be resolved by oiling the door rubbers or should i see if i can get a decent pair of second hand ones??

car was painted approximately 6 months ago

cheers

Try and clean the rubbers mate, spray them with silicone spray or wd40 and wipe them clean. Worth a try

this sometimes happens when cars have been in the spray booth a bit too long

lil handy bodyshop trick, gently rub candlewax on the door frame where it meets the rubber

Or lightly talc the rubbers? Then wipe off excess with dry cloth.

might try that, seems to be sticking really bad on the back edge of the door around the door catch, there is a black mark on the red paint where it has removed rubber from the seal

I'd t cut the contact area on the door and talc powder the rubber. Or use a decent all purpose cleaner on rubber then dress it with something like meguiars hyper dressing. It absorbs into the rubber keeping it in good condition, while stopping it sticking. And isn't greasy or messy.
