Too many posts.. I need a life!!
A tall 1.9 block will not have a 1 6 number on it.
The casting looks a little different too.
I will attach a couple pics for you.
1.9
1.9
Note the reinforced webbing on the back side(oil filter side) of the 1.9 block.
1.6 for comparison

the 2 most common 1900 conversions are power engineering that is a massively overbored 1600 block or specialised engines
specialised engines say it is based on the 1900 but it is in fact the sierra 1800
none of them are the true american 1900 cvh

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
i seem to remember the block was a weakness on big power 1900's. is this true and if so, what sort of hp is the safe limit. also, are the specialised engines any good? i got the impression some people have not too good services. sorry for hijacking, just wondered since were on the subject of 1900 cvh.
