Got it, read the manual, checked all the settings etc, and it fired up witout much hastle.

Very nice product and easy to map, if you read & understand the megasquirt manual

Definitely recommended

is it a direct plugin to the efi loom to replace existing ecu or do you have to make up a loom

Its a direct plugin to the existing EFi loom... If your MFi you will have to source a loom or get boostmonkeys to make you 1 up!
I think its wicked as casper said, opened the box, plugged it in, checked 1 or 2 setting and turned the key and it started up lovely. Easy to Map and play around with.

My car has been off the road longer than i intended but in the next month or so i intend to go balls deep into the mapping and really explore the ecu and its functions!

I've just got mine running on megasquirt, loom took a while to construct, so If you've got the option of plugging a ofam into your existing loom its gotta be a winner, I would have a good check over of your loom though.

looks like the ofam ecu is based on the megasquirt 2 ecu so seems a winner all round

It will have a internal map sensor in the ecu, you can use any high impedance injectors you want really, its a plug and play megasquirt ecu

Plug and play megasquirt setup basically.

It gives you a mappable ecu at home. Ideally if you always wanted to try it yourself, or like me, havent got anyone in the country who can map ofac.. Plus you are saving money everytime you put something new on the car, and will be able to change the map to suit.

What a good idea. Would have been perfect for my efi xr3i.

Hoping they put efi looms up on website soon cause its on the cards when I buy an RST.

I'm guessing you'd need a few extra pins putting in the factory loom for it but I'm sure mega squirt is capable of it?
