i have been looking at the engine on my rst, checking things like cambelt ect and noticed the cam pulley say's ''KA''. csan anyoine give me a answer what this means (does it mean the obvious) and the reason for using it.
i read a reference to it been a good combination with std profile cam and must say, it goes like stink. thanks in advance

Standard part mate... Mines same and as far as i know mine is standard cam+pulley

right oh mate, what sort of power is the std cam capable of? im led tro beleive its a pretty good design in terms of duration and been relatively grunty. cheers mate

Stock cam and head will flow around 250bhp mate.

kin ell!! thats impressive, i guess the mfi's management is its drawback, i hear its limits are around the 200 nags mark. having said that although i beleive it to be from a gold card member of the bullshit club, there mfi rst is close to 300hp!! have a hard time beleiving that myself, 200hp isnt to be sniffed at.

MFI fuelling for 300bhp... Impossible and if it did I'd love to see the AFR curve!! pmsl

as i thought matew. im a bit green with rst's (cars in general) but i. couldnt see 1600cc cvh on mfi wouldnt making 300hp regardless of how big the turbo/psi it runs ect. im a quick learner so im enjoying working on my escort, thats for the heads up everyone. can you run injectors off efi models (701 beiges eg) on mfi management?

No mate you cannot run any electronic fuel injectors on a mechanical fuel injection system.

ok mmate, im guessing thats a big reason why its got its limitations along with metering heads of dubious condition. what are the options in terms of injectors that flow more to work on mfi.

There are none mate, if you reach the limit of reliable fuelling with MFI then you will need to convert to EFI and suitable management.
For decent power MFI just isnt an option, you can only set the fuelling for peak power (VE) and idle, what happens the rest of time is that you over fuel like crazy.
