if i read this right you have done a MFI conversion on your fiesta? if so what fuel pump are you using if its an intank pump it will not have enough delivery pressure you need around 5-7 bar for MFI

Good call above!
If not it might just need the fuelling set up, could of course be a dead metering unit too.

i have fitted the accumulator and it has a external fuel pump fitted.

im sure with my last rs turbo i pulled a plug off the mter unit it cut out, does anyone want to try it for me on their escort please?

only other thing ive noticed is the auxillery air device that bolts under the inlet manifold, mine doesnt have a sensor on it but ive a white plug sitting there. ive seen a pic somewhere of a white sensor fitted to one?

as far as being set up, ive set the dizzy timing and after that i checked the emissions and it was pretty good to

on the fueling side, the miss seams to clear at mid range and full boost which to me would indicate its getting good fuel pressure?

The AAD has a in built bi-metal strip and heater coil so adjusts itself as the engine warms up, no external sensor.

Right i heard all about black and grey plugs, well the loom was grey and unit black so i buggered about and fitted my spare unit with grey plug and still nothin!

Fuel goin in and returning to tank just not distributing?? What makes it distribute? The fuel ecu?

Ill try my spare tomorrow

when it was running i had it on the emissions tester at work and they were pretty good, a bit rich but ive changed the meter head.

i dont think the emissions would stop the fuel coming throo the unit?

Recon it is the meter unit too. Got it running, 2 man job, one holding flap down and the other winding it over.

I think its overfueling, misses on idle and until boost starts then it clears, in my opinion the fueling is good for boost. Unit must be sticking. Not to sound like a donut, what does the fuel ecu do?
