200mm 220mm clutch plate
alright guys,
right ive been looking for a new clutch for my series one. ive been advised on here to go for ap racing cp2000-8 organic clutch, ive been told this is a straight swap?
this is where im comfused as ive been reading up on this and from what ive been reading is that for a series1 you need a 200mm plate not 220mm as this is for a series 2 can someone give me some advise on this please.

Clutch kit is just that, a clutch. You will need a seperate S2 flywheel. A decent 2nd hand one will do, get it skimmed so it is flat and it will bed in with the new clutch.
Bigger clutch and flywheel will handle more power before slipping.
Depending on your torque power you may not need to uprate it. Anything upto 200BHP (with around the same torque) then a standard Ford S2 clutch should cope with it.
If you have a standard car and not looking to increase the power then a standard S1 clutch and skimmed flywheel will handle it - that's how it came from the factory remember - and save you money.
If you have an uprated car or plan to do it then I would also recommend the AP kit.
Easy enough on the legs for normal driving round town and progressive so you can drive smoothly without it being on/off like some others but handle uprated power very well.

Is yours beefier and more uprated though to cope?
I don't know of any for sale, but here's a price guide for post for studabear:

Skim should be around £15-20 I think.
