i have a rs turbo powered bonus and i beleive its the last of the mfi rs motors, the one with the knock sensor. it has a scorpion 3',k/n filter, huge i/cooler with bailey d/v and samco mounted up front and otherwise std engine. its about 6 or 7 psi, soon to be 10. just wondered in its current guise what sort of hp do you reckon, on the basis its mechaniccly healthy. i must say it goes very well and in damp/cold conditions it will light the wheels up 2nd into 3rd while torque steering like buggery. a bit of a daft question with infinate variables to consider but im not after a dyno accurate prediction, just a ballpark figure? 130hp? cheers fellas. my aim is to get 170-200hp eventually. all while keeping the very tidy but battlescarred bonus appearance! some call it tatty, i call it patina! happy new year

At a guess i would say 140-145?
getting 170 wouldn't need much more than chipping it and getting it set up i would imagine with your current spec.

Might be 140 bhp max if she's healthy. 10psi will yield 150bhp and a nice dollop of torque with those mods

at the moment probs between 135 to 145. with 10psi would have thought around 150 to 160 as long as engine is in good health. would need a chip, -31 actuator and 14psi to get 180bhp

thanks mate, i think it bmay have a chipped ecu but not sure. theres a mikecanics rolling road centre in the engine bay but that means diddly in reality. still, sounds like a good figure and the motor seems to be in good fettle. i have ordered a collins actuator and will be fitting a chipped ecu soon. the setup on the r/road. it seems to be very rich atm, the tail pipe been sooty when idling from cold. this was while the idle was around 2000rpm, indicating an air leak. i seem to have solved that by altering a vaccum hose that is linked to the breather gubbins at the top left of rocker.

I take my cars to mikeanics to be tuned, i had same mods as you in 1 car and pushed 163bhp on mikes rollers and i think he tweaked the boost to 14psi

i went mikes for my first tune not long ago and i was impressed. he knows his stuff ill give him that. next time im going he is going to be fitting me omex 600

thanks fellas, ill look in the ecu for signs thaty its been chipped. kidrs, was the 163hp with 14psi?? sounds good to me.
