Escort rs turbo seats
My escort rs turbo series 1 drivers seat is actually a passengers seat. I am looking for a drivers seat but finding one is near on impossible. I have found a series 2 seat on flea bay and I am thinking of fitting the series 1 covering to the seat and installing it into the car.
Are the escorts series 1 front seats compatible with a series 2? Are there any differences apart from material covering?

i think they are the same..
just get any old busted driver side recaro. if the passenger side seat you have is good, all the foams cushions and textiles can be swapped over onto the frame of the driver seat.
both the front chairs in my s2 are passengers (both minty).. i'll be doing the same thing at some point.

I think the S1 seats had the tilting levers only on the door side, whereas the S2 recaros had them on both sides. As for fitting, they are a straight swap. The rear seats are a little more involved to change between S1 and S2.
