Default Push-on fuel connectors

My Orion is efi turbo and has the push-on fuel line connectors on a plastic pipe from the in-tank fuel pump to the metal line under the car.
Twice now the fuel feed pipe has popped off the pump whilst going along at low rpm and off boost, I've tried another plastic pipe but it did the same thing a month later. It's running standard fuel pressure and the regulator is brand new.
As it's just a smooth peice of metal pipe I dont like the idea of clamping some rubber hose on it as theres not much to hold it on too.

Anyone got any ideas before I chuck the efi tank and get an MFI one and run the pump externally!

whats the fuel pressure and is there any issues causing it to come off.

You can remove the plastic pipe with ford connectors and fit parker ones from www.abbeyhose.co.uk

i use these on the EFi conversions with new style ford filters.

It should be standard 3BAR but I dont have a gauge to check, the regulator is new and not played with but I suppose it could be well wrong or a blockage somewhere else in the pipework.

Thanks for the hose link I will give them a ring!

Get a pressure gauge and check the pressure matt, mines on standard pressure and the pipes fine...

Im also tempted to go for an MFi tank and external pump, keep getting fuel starve issues!

I'm running MFI tank/044 pump externally and use the plastic connector on a stainless pipe I made up, you could ditch the plastic pipe and get a braided pipe made up with suitable fitting for the fuel rail and an olive fitting that would clamp onto the metal pipe and then the braided would screw onto the olive fitting, so it will never come off....

Odd though that it keeps coming off?
