New turbo or rebuild time. Cheapest option is probably ebay or the for sale section on here.

I bought a 2nd hand turbo for my subaru off egay for £100, you should have no bother finding a 2nd hand t3 for your escort.

Turbo needs a rebuild 100%, Im afraid!
The exhaust end ring seal has gone allowing oil to seep past and into the exhaust housing and elbow... Had same happen on mine!

A good 2nd hand turbo will do you well. Try matt lewis for the gaskets.

Manifold to turbo shouldnt need a gasket... but if you want to run 1 ebay is your friend - look for matt lewis racing or turborebuild.co.uk as the seller as they sell decent quality gaskets

the car already has a brand new gasket for where the manifold meets the engine, so if i dont need a gasket for manifold to turbo, and dont need one for turbo to elbow then the only one i need is for the downpipe?

you dont need any gaskets other than exhaust manifold to head gasket, the long 4 port one.
no gaskets needed on the manifold to turbo, turbo itself,or exhaust downpipe mate

if the mating surfaces are flat then you wont need a gasket mate.
put a straight edge across them and see if there flat,if not you could skim them or use a copper gasket.
only gasket you can get i think is the turbo to manifold one, square with 4 holes for the bolts and square hole in the middle i think.
they are about £12 on fleebay.
