Default Possible H/gasket failiure?

I have had a problem with my coolant hoses inflating and filling with air. I have changed my exspansion tank and also fitted a new cap. I don't have any water or oil mixing and all fluid levels are staying stable. There is no smell of ehaust fumes in the expansion tank.

The engine is a 2.1 zvh with felpro gasket.

does sound like a h/g failure but i would expect to smell fumes, get a sniff test done just to be sure
