Firstly if your driving it around and expecting it to self tune and drive perfect its very unlikely it will. lol.

you should take it to someone with experiance with MFi and sort it properly.

In Kent i honestly dont know anyone i would advise you take your car to!

Jano

Yeah ok I will have to get it booked in with jano then it seems, I know there only 130bhp std not expecting a rocketship lol but getting shown up by saxo vtrs is not good! But sometimes I can go out and it will run fine and seem a lot quicker than other times, I was thinking it could be a sensor going down sometimes or something....

Warm weather won't help as well. My old S1 was great on cold damp days but felt like a different car on a hot dry day due to less dense air. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the cross over pipe have a temp sensor in there that either lowers the boost or changes ign timing (or both) over a certain temperature?

Yeah it deffinatly goes a lot better on cold dense days, it does have iat sensor in the cross over pipe, think it changes the ignition timing at different temps, maybe that is dead will get a new one and give that a try

Lol, going to turn the fueling up slightly just to be on the safe side for now, I understand I have to remove the EMFPA from the right hand side of the metering unit and turn the 3mm alen key clockwise to richen, but I don't understand what the emfpa is? I know everyone is going to say take it to someone that knows but I want to be able to learn myself, thanks lee

Lee.

Everyone wants to learn them selfs pal. The key here i that you can either learn by others mistakes which saves you from making them.

Or you can learn the hard way.

Touching sensors and adjusting parts you dont know where they are and what they do is not the cleverest of things to be doing.

What will you be learning other than how to damage your engine.

As others have said take it to somewhere that will tune it up and if you really want to learn ask them nicely to explain whats going on and whats been adjusted to help you understand your engine better.

My honest advise is, if its driving then dont touch it! Drive it slowly and safely to a tuner.

Jano
